ETERNAL OVER THE TEMPORAL
Growing up, I used to make sure that all my school work was done, and I hoped to get higher marks. I would arrive on time at school and didn't want to be absent, even if I wasn't feeling well. My dream was to pass Grade 12 and proceed to tertiary education to get a better job. It sounds like I was a wise kid, right? "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, 'He catches the wise in their own craftiness'" (1 Corinthians 3:19 NKJV). Things don't always work out as planned. Many people follow this path, and yet we see them struggling, even with Master's degrees, desperately looking for jobs. Back to reality, can we really think that our degrees will save our souls from eternal fire? The Bible reminds us that "our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ" (Philippians 3:20-21 NIV). We're foreigners in this world, and just like a foreigner in a country, we won...
