ETERNAL OVER THE TEMPORAL

Growing up, I used to make sure that all my school work was done, and I hoped to get higher marks. I would arrive on time at school and didn't want to be absent, even if I wasn't feeling well. My dream was to pass Grade 12 and proceed to tertiary education to get a better job. It sounds like I was a wise kid, right?

"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, 'He catches the wise in their own craftiness'" (1 Corinthians 3:19 NKJV). 

Things don't always work out as planned. Many people follow this path, and yet we see them struggling, even with Master's degrees, desperately looking for jobs. Back to reality, can we really think that our degrees will save our souls from eternal fire?

The Bible reminds us that "our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ" (Philippians 3:20-21 NIV). We're foreigners in this world, and just like a foreigner in a country, we won't invest too much in a place where our stay is limited. 

As 1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV puts it, "The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

We need to accept Jesus as our Savior, and He will give us the wisdom we need to save ourselves from eternal fire. Let's seek His Kingdom, and we'll know how to navigate the system of this world. 

As Matthew 6:33 NKJV says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

Let the life you're living in this world show that you're here for a purpose and that your time is limited. Let's live a life that pleases God. As we pray the "Our Father," let's also do the will of God, saying "let it be done on earth as it is in heaven." Don't let the flesh stop you from returning to the Father. Fear being against the Lord and carry your cross from now on, because you'll never know when you'll leave this world. Take God's wisdom and prosper."

  There is one sun and one moon in this world we're living in, but we got seven continents and one hundred and ninety-five countries. All with different timezones, I usually have online bible studies with the brothers and sisters in Christ across the world.
