ARE YOU FOR REAL?
"Therefore do not be ignorant of the things that matter, but rather be zealous for the good deeds that make a difference." - 1 Thessalonians 5:12 (NASB)
We feel otherwise when people are saying things about us that we reflect or present in public. I'm talking about how we dress, the way we talk, what we do and where we are going... Being a child of God there's a way that is designed for us to dress up, talk, behave and more, a way that separates us from the unbelievers, a way to glorify God.
"our beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. [4] Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight." -1 Peter 3:3-4 (NIV)
"Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves modestly and appropriately and discreetly in proper clothing, not with [elaborately] braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive clothes, [10] but instead adorned by good deeds [helping others], as is proper for women who profess to worship God.- 1 Timothy 2:9-10 (AMP)
"Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." - 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NASB)
We might say that we are the children of God but the way we live can say something else. We were called as slaves of sin, but we can't continue to live the same way we used to live when we were called; instead, we need our minds to be renewed and live as new people.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." - 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)
One more thing is that we need to remember that we are foreigners in this world; don't blend in with sin because you want to be accepted by the world because once you compromise, you become an enemy to God by loving the world instead of loving Him with whole soul.
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." - 1 John 2:15 (ESV)
Continue to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness... Know who you are and whom you are living for. I'm also encouraging you to continue dressing in a manner that glorifies God, when you open your mouth talk His words, and love one another.
"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." - Matthew 6:33 (NASB)
"Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person." - Colossians 4:6 (ESV)
"Love one another as I have loved you." - John 15:12 (NIV)
QUESTION OF THE DAY :
IS THE LIFE YOU'RE LIVING GLORIFY GOD, THE WAY YOU DRESS, BEHAVE AND TALK?

Amen...
