UNCOVERING THE TRUTH ABOUT OURSELVES!
Growing up before I was involved in drugs, I recall when we were told that "Those who don't listen to their parents end up on the streets." and "Focus on your studies and you'll never end up on the streets." Sounds like a good idea or something encouraging to tell someone? It happened when I was on the streets smoking and being involved in bad habits with some individuals.
So usually there are times where we share our stories and experiences, some they ended up on the streets because they had abusive parents, some had depression and had no support from their parents, some had studied to the point of reaching their masters but because of the high percentage of unemployment that keeps on raising when the graduates keep graduating.
I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.(Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV)
Life's unpredictable, and we all face different battles that can lead us down a path we never intended to take. We all faced different types of situations that lead us to poor decisions taking.
Even though we were told about this things while we were still children but one thing for sure is that we never dreamed about doing or living that kind of lifestyles and even though we were deep inside that darkest caves we still had the dreams of doing something good with our lives while we are still alive in this world.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
Despite the darkness, we held onto hope and the promise of a better future.
We live in the world world that is full of judgmental, people see your mistakes but they don't see their own mistakes. They present them selves as good people in public but behind close door are wicked more than the witches.
"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." (Matthew 7:1-2 KJV)
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? (Matthew 7:3 NIV)
Are you calling out someone that he is unholy because you see what they are doing, or you saw what is their heart?
He said to them: “You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean. (Acts 10:28 NIV)
Are you presenting yourself the way you like and say that God knows your heart and while you truly know how your heart looks?
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9).
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4:23 NIV)
The word of God warns us about making ourselves righteousness with our own way and our understanding.
"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 14:12).
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. [28] In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness. (Matthew 23:27-28 NIV)
We have brethren who are born again but their minds are not renewed and those are known as hypocrites, the present Pharisees. Some a led by emotions, moods and feelings, instead of being led by the Holy Spirit.
"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 2:5).
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2 NIV)
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; [23] to be made new in the attitude of your minds; [24] and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. ( Ephesians 4:22-24 NIV)
We need to humble ourselves and allow God's Word to transform our minds, so we can walk in His ways and not be led astray by our own desires.
QUESTION OF THE DAY :
1.ARE YOU GUIDED BY THE FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS OR BY THE HOLY SPIRIT?
2. ARE YOU THE SAME INSIDE AND OUTSIDE, DOES IT PLEASE GOD?

As a born Christian, this is the moment where I question myself about many things mentioned here. I am speaking about self introspection. Sometimes we end up on the wrong side because of the long roads. I will come to your inbox mzalwane wami. Sihle Mtshali
